Accomplishments!

I did it!  On a Ravelry thread I committed to finishing up some nagging projects before casting on ANY new projects no matter how tempting.  This morning I finished the last one and I just finished posting the projects on Ravelry.  I am excited to start some new projects that have been forced to wait a few weeks.

Here are some pics of the projects that got finished recently.

End of Summer Crunch

I am finishing up projects, wrapping up Summer, having a son get eye surgery (waiting rooms make great knitting time!), post surgery appointments, etc.

For instance, I have three pair of socks that just need a sewn bind-off, a reader's wrap that just needs the pockets sewn on, an entrelac shawl that is short two repeats and some finishing, a shawl and a scarf that need to be blocked and ends woven in, the scarf pattern that needs to be written up, and the list goes on...lol.  Plus four more projects I want to get cast on!

Then there are my non knitting writing projects and obligations that still need attention.  I need more hours in the day!  Will it get better once school starts....we'll see.

Brief update...more coming soon

This is a very quick update...I have been busy with family but I am getting back into the knitting groove.  I am currently teaching classes at the Recycled Lamb in Lakewood for those of you in the Denver area.

I am finishing up several projects and have just discovered Lily Go!  I LOVE her shawls!

I will post pictures soon...

Yarn Crawl

Whipped up a hat in Navy colors for my 18 year old who is enlisting this week.

Did I mention I LOVE Ultra Pima Cotton from Cascade Yarns?

I am also setting things up so the kids can all knit up hats for either KnotsofLove or ChemoCaps.  I am also getting ready to participate in the first annual Rocky Mountain Yarn Crawl.  It seems like a lot of fun!

Some projects finished!

I finished the hats and the shawls I was working on for most of May and June!

Here are the links to the pics and the details of each project

I am now working on finishing up a promised pair of socks for my daughter, an afghan started WAY too long ago, a big lace shawl that will just take a while, convertible mitten/fingerless gloves started last spring, a vest that I have swatched but now need to get going for my husband, his afghan that I am designing, and about 5 other projects...just a typical knitter.

I am also slowly putting up all the projects I have completed the past year up on Ravelry.  Today I finally got the pics and details up for Ellen's socks that were started and completed last November.

Cascade UltraPima

My hats are cruising along and I cast on for another shawl.  I have to say I have fallen in love with Cascade UltraPima I got at Knit Knack.  It is so smooth and fun to knit with and easy to work with as well.

Tonight I cast on two more hats.  A couple of weeks ago I knitted up another hat pattern two at a time and it was fantastic!

The hat pattern I cast on tonight was originally written to knit flat so the first modification was to the pattern for circular knitting.  I hope to get them done soon so they can be sent off in the same package as the other hats and two shawls I have knitted in the last few weeks!

I'll post pics and more details soon...
